The Hyundai A-League heats up in the race for the finals!
With just two rounds to go in the Hyundai A-League 2009/10 season, now is the time to see your club in top form vying for their final spot on the league ladder.
With teams still jostling to secure a crucial place in the Finals Series, the fans can make all the difference. It could be you that helps get your team across the line.
Round 26 starts Friday night in Melbourne at 8pm when Victory host the Fury. Saturday the Central Coast Mariners go head-to-head with the Newcastle Jets at Bluetongue Stadium in an F3 derby that’s all about rivalry and in Adelaide, the Reds take on the Roar. It’s another double Sunday when Sydney FC travel to Parramatta Stadium to show Western Sydney fans what they’re made of against Perth Glory at 5pm. The round is wrapped up at Skilled Park where the Premiership will be on the line for Gold Coast United who tackle the in-form Wellington Phoenix at 6pm.

Pacific Youth and Sports Conference
Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), together with the Manukau City Council, are hosting the first ever Pacific Youth and Sports Conference (PYASC) in Manukau, New Zealand from 15-20 March 2010.
Bringing together over 1,000 young people from 25 Pacific territories, the PYASC will provide youth in the region with an opportunity to discuss important issues in the areas of health, education and training, citizenship and good governance, social integration and anti-discrimination – and how they relate to sport participation.
The week-long conference will include a series of seminars, workshops, exhibitions and roundtable meetings - designed entirely by youth.
Registrations are open to young people from 16 to 25 years and close 15 February 2010. Sport and youth leaders who are over 25 are also welcome in an observer capacity.

Calling all nominations
Nominations for the 2010 Australian Football Awards are now open.
The Australian Football Awards celebrate and reward outstanding achievements and contributions of the football family to our game.
From players at a professional level through to teams, volunteers, coaches and referees at a non professional level – the Awards recognise the many and varied ways people are involved in our game.
Public nominations are now open for Team of the Year. This Award is open to any team which is part of a club registered with FFA, across all age groups. Teams may nominate online until 5.00pm AEDT on 26 March 2010.
